Q. Is ccHDTV mature technology?
Yes. ccHDTV is a mature technology.
ccHDTV is based on DTV transmission technology, mainly the European standard DVB-T, i.e., EN 300 744 open standard. The standard was first published in 1997 and was first used in broadcasting in the UK in 1998. It’s now widely adopted around the world, covering about 2/3 countries including Taiwan. It is a well-developed and mature technology. However, the application of DTV in the surveillance industry is ITE’s unique contribution.
