Q. Can analog surveillance system use the same star topology as in DTV surveillance system?
Yes, star topology can be applied in both analog and DTV surveillance systems. The coax cable and connecter are the same for both systems. However, DTV system is less sensitive to the cable quality than analog system. Therefore, at places where the cable is ageing, DTV system may still be able to provide good video quality without re-cabling.
