Q.How many DTV CAMs can be run on a single cable?

The actual number depends on the deployment topology and the whole system design.
Theoretically speaking, consider 6MHz channel, ignore the interference of harmonic frequencies, and allow one channel spacing between adjacent channels, the bandwidth of coaxial cable (50 MHz ~ 950 MHz) supports 900 MHz / (6 MHz x 2) = 75 cameras. However, in the real deployment, as the number of cameras increases, the number of required splitters to combine the signals increases, and the loss introduced by splitters also increases, not to mention the interference between harmonic frequencies. Because current popular and available surveillance products are 4/8/16 DVRs, we would like to recommend use only up to 16 channels in one coaxial cable.
